Work in harmony
with the island’s
communities.
Empower
the
residents.
Provide good
employment, better
housing & infrastructure.
Supply education,
training & improved
local medical support.
Create opportunities
for people to develop
their own businesses.
The cornerstone of true sustainability is integrating with the local community.
Through the Boa Vista Trust, we will work in harmony with the island’s communities, empowering the residents by providing good employment, better housing and infrastructure, education and training and improved local medical support
By doing so we hope to give local people the means to sustain their island life and their culture, but most of all providing them with opportunities to develop their own business activities for the long term in support of our sponsor, the Tarafo Bay resort and its incredible environment.

Our vision is for a 21st century ‘Benchmark Resort’ that touches the earth lightly and sustainably.
An enterprise that involves and gives back to the local community.
The beautiful site of the Tarafo Bay Golf & Beach Resort, with its amazing pristine beaches and temperate year-round weather, is on the same latitude as the Caribbean, but enjoys the same time zone as Western Europe and is only 4 – 6 hours away.
Tarafo Bay will be a resort that has genuine sustainability designed into its overall master-plan from its inception. All buildings will be carbon neutral, and the whole site will be carbon positive – generating more energy and water than it consumes.
We will have the smallest impact on the environment as is practically possible, preserving and promoting the native flora and exceptional fauna. This project is aimed at discerning tourists who wants the best quality, and a rich experience, participating in the local culture and wildlife.
This can only happen when a major new resort environment has a fully integrated plan focussed on the sustainable from the very start and involves locals in its development.
